Thanks for the help. I measure Dc offset @ the speaker terminals and get
12.6 mv & 14.5 mv. The left channel is fine and does not trip
protection. My biggest problem is the way the hs mounts to the board the
foil side of the board is not accessible to probe. This makes
comparing voltages between the two channels impossible. If i could

 In article <4926d877$0$27232$ba620...@tex t.nova.planet.nl>,
To get 100 volts you'd need not only a faulty regulator but a faulty or
disconnected battery. Turning the average alternator hard on only usually
results in the high teens volts wise. Although I've no idea what happens
with some of these modern ultra high powered water cooled types. ;-)

Fat wires directly to the battery has always served me
well in a number of instrumented cars.
Only one accident with a blown regulator in a generator,
suddenly about 100 volt instead of 12 volt.
That was over a period of 40 years.
The battery works like a rather big capacitor. :)

I bought a Zenith earlier this year, based on some Web reviews. It's a snap
to set up (it does almost all the setting up for you), EZUU, and the picture
quality is good.
However, as others have pointed out, digital is not a panacea for any and
all reception problems. You have to have a strong, reasonably clean signal.

I have some 20 year old silver loaded paint/ silver conductive paint
Electrolube SCP003 ,kept in a 35mm film pot, in fridge. It cannot be called
paint now, but not totally dried out, more like paste. I mixed a little with
the resin part of some also quite ancient but good epoxy , bulk 1kg purchase
about 10 years ago, also kept in fridge (red cap = resin ? any standard ?)
